The space van seats 8 passengers (including driver) with cargo or 11 passengers and no cargo. The van is completely reusable. A painful fashion trend, but it's all worth it when it's done. Right?

What is a Fashion Trend?

It's funny the way fashion trends start. They pass via word of mouth better than anything else. In fact, that is the most effective way of passing a trend into a society. Sure TV and Internet help spread the word, but they typically don't try it until they see a live person wearing the latest jeans or sporting the latest tattoo design. It's kind of like the "monkey see, monkey do" theory. Take for example the FOFAT Lower Back Tattoo. It is so new that many people are going to find out about it via the Internet, but almost like clock work it will slowly creep into every city, town, and rural community. It won't go viral until they start to see people in their home town with FOFAT just above their butt. However, the Internet will inspire those fashion pioneers and rebels to try the new FOFAT style and that's how these things get started. I remember when the tribal tattoos first started to show up. It was very much the same thing (monkey see, monkey do). You probably first caught sight of a tribal arm tattoo about 20 years ago, but they weren't cool yet. Like all fashion trends they go through a series of stages.

Life Cycle of a Fashion Trend

Stage 1: Shocking - The fashion trend is shocking - only the rebels try it in order to make a statement (1 percent know about it now)

Stage 2: The fashion trend is now on the cutting edge of style - most people still think your weird - women (girls) seem better at detecting fashion when it's in this early stage (10 percent know about it now)

Stage 3: Early bird style - Now more and more people are starting to discover this new style that is the fashion trend (20 percent know about it now)

Stage 4: The fashion trend is officially in style - Now network television acknowledges that it is a style and starts to incorporate it into the plots of various sitcoms and/or TV dramas (45 percent know about it now)

Stage 5: The Fashion Trend starts to wane and this is about the same time it starts to
spread to small town America (75 percent know about it now)

Stage 6: The Fashion Trend is no longer in style, but we will see it for years to come as it
becomes a bad habit for many people (80-90 percent know about it now)

More Lower Back Tattoos

Here's a funny skit that SNL called Turlington's Lower Back Tattoo Remover.
It deals with the fact that tattoos last a life time and that unless you get your tat removed you will still have it as an old man or as an old woman.

Why do some people call it a Tramp Stamp?
I think it's rude when people refer to lower back tattoos as tramp stamps. They should be so judgemental. They don't know how the tattoo got there. Maybe they woke up one morning in Las Vegas and it was there.
